Kooky Canuck Fan Interviews

This past week host John Catucci and the crew from Food Network Canada’s ‘You Gotta Eat Here’ were in Memphis filming at Kooky Canuck and Payne’s BBQ for an upcoming edition of #YGEH to air some time this fall.

Filming took place over two days, one of which the entire restaurant had to be closed the entire day to film the kitchen and cooking scenes. The cooking scenes were a lot of fun with owner Shawn Danko and host John Catucci getting along famously as they put together three signature recipes from Kooky Canuck. Load in was at 8:00am with the camera rolling at 9:00am lasting until 6:30pm that day.

Day two of filming was comprised of nine food beauty shots and fifteen guest interviews in the restaurant. The film equipment and shooting requirements were a lot more involved than anticipated taking over half of the restaurant. The shoot went extremely well with some fabulous guests telling John about their favourite food items and why they love Kooky Canuck so much.

Thanks go out to the crew for their professionalism and easy going attitudes. Kooky Canuck will hosting a viewing party at both their Memphis locations. #YGEH will air on Food Network in Canada and FYI in the United States.
